This project was a Technical Art Test for an E-learning company.
I created the entire scene and programmed in the hover functionality in 5 days.
I followed a set brief to create a small lab environment, filled with a few low poly assets (some of which I would change now that it's completed) and set to run in broswer or on mobile devices. I had to include animation, UI, and some form of interaction as well.
I had to use Unity Visual Scripting to create the mouse over/exit function for the microscope to trigger particles and the UI popup. If I had to do it again I would create a simple script instead, it would probably save me a lot of time!
I created all assets, custom and standard shaders, and particles. The decal on the right is taken from an actual lab warning poster. There are two object animations in the scene (rotater and Newton's cradle), a reactive shader (water), three VFX graph particles (Fire, bubbling fluid, and highlight sparkle), and two animated world space UI's in the scene (PC Monitors and microscope hover UI), as well as a functional screen space UI.
